Children Empowerment

200+ Children Trained

Phenomenon Literacy Project

The Phenomenon Literacy Project empowers young children with essential literacy skills, specifically targeting students who, despite being of reading age, struggle with reading. We collaborate with local schools, providing tailored literacy interventions for students requiring extra support. To date, we have successfully trained over 200 young children to read confidently. Our approach combines Lexplore, an artificial intelligence tool that assesses reading levels, with specialised classes based on assessment results. We also incorporate engaging learning methods, including video lessons and educational games. While this project is currently on hiatus, we remain dedicated to its mission and look forward to resuming activities when conditions permit.

Social Innovation

5 Teacher-Led Projects Funded

Phenomenon Teacher Empowerment Fund

Launched in February 2024, this programme empowers teachers with skills, fund and resources to become business and social innovators in their communities. We select the most promising projects from submissions and provide funding to bring their ideas to fruition and support existing projects. The programme aims to inspire teachers to extend their influence beyond the classroom and embrace their roles as entrepreneurs and innovators. This project is integral to our mission, allowing us to amplify our impact by enabling teachers to drive meaningful change in their communities.

Digital Enhancement

200+ Digital Gadgets

Phenomenon Tech Impact

Since 2021, the Phenomenon Tech Impact initiative has focused on enhancing educational environments by donating digital gadgets to schools within our communities. Understanding the vital role of technology in modern education, we equip classrooms with essential tools such as projectors and digital boards, fostering interactive learning experiences. To date, we have successfully outfitted two classrooms with these digital resources, empowering teachers to enhance their teaching methods and engage students effectively. Through this initiative, we strive to bridge the technology gap in education, creating more opportunities for impactful learning experiences.

Student Support

20+ Scholarships Awarded

Phenomenon Scholars

The Phenomenon Scholars programme empowers underprivileged students through scholarships that support their educational journeys. Aimed at both secondary school and university students, these scholarships are awarded at our discretion, based on available funding and student needs. Through this initiative, we seek to alleviate financial barriers that may hinder deserving individuals from pursuing their academic aspirations. By investing in the potential of these young scholars, we aim to create opportunities for a brighter future.

The Phenomenon Conference

One of our flagship initiatives to achieve this goal is The Phenomenon Teachers Conference, a forum for educators and education stakeholders. The conference aims to improve learning standards and outcomes in Nigeria by centring discussions around teachers, sharing ideas, strategies, pedagogies, and innovations. The conference aims to inspire and equip teachers to elevate professional and personal skills and improve student outcomes through meaningful conversations and collaborations. Each edition reflects our dedication to continuous professional development and our belief in the transformative power of education.
