Phenomenon 1.0: Raising Successful Teachers
The inaugural Phenomenon Conference, themed, Phenomenon 1.0: Raising Successful Teachers, marked the start of a transformative journey for educators. This event gathered inspiring and successful teachers across the country to share their experiences, best practices, and strategies that distinguish them in the field.
Keynote speakers delivered compelling talks on innovative teaching methodologies, effective classroom strategies, and the importance of embracing technology to improve learning outcomes. Topics included integrating digital tools in the classroom and creative ways to engage students and foster critical thinking.
This conference created an empowering environment for teachers to learn, connect, and reflect on what it means to be a successful educator in today’s evolving world. Through open discussions and expert insights, Phenomenon 1.0 laid the groundwork for a movement to elevate the teaching profession, encourage growth, and inspire excellence in the classroom.

Phenomenon 2.0: Raising the Bar (Annual Conference)
The Phenomenon 2.0 Conference is an annual event empowering teachers to push boundaries and achieve exceptional results. The second edition, themed 'Raising the Bar,' brought together educators from various backgrounds to learn from peers who have made significant strides in their communities.
This year's conference featured teacher stars—educators recognised globally for their innovative approaches to transforming classrooms. Engaging panel discussions highlighted their journeys and offered insights on stepping out of comfort zones to embrace excellence. Keynote speakers delivered impactful presentations on integrating technology in education, focusing on how teachers can use AI and modern tools to enhance learning experiences. Sessions also addressed raising standards in the classroom from the perspectives of educators and school leaders.
The event was further enriched by our partnership with One Million Teachers, providing participants with complimentary e-learning courses leading up to the conference. Attendees proudly graduated during the event, adding a celebratory touch.

Phenomenon Leadership Program: Empowering Educators to Lead
The Phenomenon Leadership Seminar is a key event designed to equip teachers with the leadership skills necessary to drive professional development and continuous learning within their communities. As part of our Phenomenon Leadership Program, and in collaboration with One Million Teachers, this seminar specifically targets Black Belt educators—teachers who have completed the One Million Teachers professional development course.
Over three intensive days, participants learn how to establish and lead their teacher communities, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and lifelong learning. The program emphasises peer-driven professional development, encouraging participants to mentor fellow teachers and guide them through the One Million Teachers course to ensure completion.
The seminar includes online and in-person sessions covering community management, leadership skills, and effective online engagement. It culminates in a physical event where participants can connect, share experiences, and discuss the next steps in building strong teacher networks. The Phenomenon Leadership Seminar is a transformative experience, empowering educators to enhance their skills and uplift their peers in the education sector.

Global Teacher Prize finalist, Opeifa, supports educators on community projects

Three secondary school teachers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja have received financial support from the 2022 global teacher prize finalist and English language teacher at Government Day Secondary School, Karu, Abuja, Mr Olasunkanmi Opeifa. The financial support, provided under the auspices of the Phenomenon Edu Impact, a platform under Olasunkanmi Opeifa Educational Foundation and in collaboration with 1 Million Teachers, another non-governmental organisation, is on yearly basis for any top three teachers with community projects that address health and education related issues.

The graduation of 260 teachers as 1 Million Teachers Blackbelts was the heartbeat of Phenomenon 1.0. Their dedication was celebrated alongside the participation of esteemed organisations like BIC Company, Nigerian Breweries, TedPrime Hub, and Know the Block Mavens. 1Million Teachers in partnership with Phenomenon-Edu Impact has graduated 260 black belt teachers with expertise required to meet the demands of educating functional and productive members of the knowledge economy at the maiden edition of The Phenomenon.

Opeifa, a finalist for the prestigious Global Teacher Prize in 2020, said he has continued to make remarkable strides in education with the generous support of Global Teacher Prize winner Ranjitsinh Disale of India.
